Jaiden Animations Takes On a Wild Challenge The Pokemon Nuzlocke

Jaiden picks up saying that she did a Nuzlocke last year, and she's doing it again, this time with Pokemon Platinum. She reminds the viewers of the rules: you can only catch the first pokemon you find per route, if a pokemon loses all its HP in battle you can't use it anymore, and you need to give your pokemon a name. After the intro, she gets right into it.

Barry, Jaiden's neighbor/friend brings Jaiden to Route 201 so they can get Pokemon from Professor Rowan. Just as they're about to go into the tall grass, Rowan stops them. He gives them starter Pokemon and Jaiden gets a Turtwig she names Turt. She uses her first pokemon to beat up Barry's Chimchar. She makes her way and bumps into a Shinx she wants to catch. Unfortunately, Turt kills the Shinx, though Jaiden specifically said not to.

Though she was unable to get a Shinx, she moves on and sees a trainer. She battles the trainer's Starly, Turt almost dying in the process. Thankfully, they won and Jaiden went through the city. She eventually got a Zubat. She named the Zubat Cronk. Jaiden also catches Puppy, the Magikarp. Barry runs up again, wanting to battle, and Turt defeats Barry's Chimchar and Starly. Then, Jaiden nervously encounters the first gym master, and one-shots his Cranidos. Badge number 1.

Jaiden gets to Floaroma Town, hoping to find a Shellos, but finds a Shinx instead. Depressingly, she captures it and names it Failure. She then finds team Galactic's base where they're stealing electricity and kidnapped someone's dad. She battled the guard, battled the people inside (with Turt evolving) and finds Mars and his Purugly down the hallway. Jaiden had a strategy to defeat it. In the mines, Jaiden caught an Onyx and named it Dwayne, and took him to the fight in case she needed to heal up her other Pokemon. Turt defeated Mars' Zubat, and Cronk stole Purugly's Oren Berry. Unfortunately, Purugly took a lot of out Cronk with a scratch, and Turt still needed healing. Jaiden put Dwayne in the fight, but he had 1 HP left after Purugly's Faint Attack. After that, Jaiden switches out Dwayne for Turt and defeats Purugly. Jaiden still put Dwayne in the box.

Jaiden catches Big Boy the Bronzor and adds it to the team. Before the next gym, Cronk evolves and destroys all the plant Pokemon. Jaiden gets the 2nd Badge. She goes to the Galatic building and defeats Galatic Leader Jupiter, Turt and Cronk nealy dying in the process. Jaiden encounters Cynthia after, who gives her an egg. Jaiden, still nervous decides to train Big Boy. Ironically, the Bronzor dies. Turns out Jaiden fought a fire types, though Big Boy has a fire weakness. Big Boy supposedly had heatproof, but the fire enemy got a critical hit, so... first death. After, Jaiden goes to a cave where she meets a Gible. She wants to catch it, but Turt kills it. Jaiden, dissapointed at this, moved on.

In Hearthome City, Jaiden's luck turns around. She catches Devito the Ralts, Cronk evolves along with Puppy, Jaiden wins a battle, and a lady gives Jaiden Milk the Eevee. Devito levels up, but dies when fighting a couple. To replace Devito, Jaiden catches Shrimp the Scyther. She also catches a Shellos, one of her favorite Pokemon. The Shellos's name is Squoop. She evolves it into a Gastrodon and Turt evolves too. Jaiden battles in the 4th gym with Turt, Squoop, and Cronk and gets herself another badge.

Jaiden finds Galactic team member Saturn and defeats him with Shrimp. Jaiden meets up with Prof. Oak's assistant and defeats Mars with Turt. He almost died due to Mars' Purugly getting a Crit Slash, but managed to stay alive.

Unfortunately, the next Gym leader has ice types, and most of Jaiden's Pokemon have an ice disadvantage. Shrimp defeats the Gym leader's Sneasel and Squoop toke out her Piloswine with only 20 HP left. The Abomasnow comes up and Jaiden uses Puppy's fire blast , but Abomasnow barely survives it. Eventually, Puppy defeated it and Frostlass was the final Pokemon to defeat. Jaiden needed Squoop's Rain dance to cancel Frostlass's cloak, but Squoop didn't have lots of HP left. Thankfully, Jaiden swapped out Cronk for Failure the Shinx before entering the Gym and used Failure as a chance to spruce up Squoop. Unfortunately, Failure was killed. Squoop sucessfully canceled Frostlass's cloak, and won the battle.

After the battle ends, Cyrus goes into his evil plot again, only to be swallowed by Giratina in the Distortion Realm. A hole opens up leading to the Distortion Realm, and Cynthia asks Jaiden to hop in, but Jaiden needs to replace LOL before going in there. Oops was taken out of the box, got leveled up and Jaiden went into the hole leading to the Distortion Realm.

Milk was also used to defeat Crobat and Honchkrow, and Shrimp fought the Weavile. Defeated, Cyrus moves to the side, leaving Jaiden with only one enemy left: Giratina.
